Trader Joe Favs

Today I wanted to share a few items that have been in my cart every time I head to Trader Joe’s. To be honest, Trader Joe’s always used to be an extra stop for me. I’d go to my regular grocery store then if I wanted something specific would pop into Trader Joe’s to pick it up. A few months ago I popped in and realized it was silly of me to be doing two grocery stops, they have so many great items! Here are a few things of my favs!

  1. Everything But The Bagel seasoning. Okay, a few weeks ago I asked on Insta if other people were as obsessed with this as I am. I got a resounding YES! I love this seasoning on ezekiel bread with laughing cow cheese or on top of scrambled eggs.
  2. Gluten Free Buttermilk Pancake & Waffle mix. If you don’t make your own batter from scratch and prefer to be gluten free, this mix is surprisingly delish. I usually think GF can be a little… sawdust-y;  I truly think this mix is your best GF option out there.
  3. Creamy Spinach Artichoke Dip. I totally fell into the TJ trap… They were sampling this dip a few weeks ago and I was surprised at just how creamy & delicious this was. I actually took it to our Super Bowl party last weekend and it was a huge hit. I also love to keep this in my freezer in case we end up having guests over last minute.
  4. Dr. Praegers California Veggie Burgers. These are SO good. While I still enjoy regular burgers, I’ve been trying to keep healthier option readily available at home so I’m not tempted by takeout. I just pop one of these into the oven and eat it plain- it’s so good!! They have other types too but this one if my favorite.
  5. Acai Puree Packets are perfect for those gorgeous Acai bowls you see on Instagram but are rather pricey to buy. A great option is to make it yourself at home. These are unsweetened so it’s a great way to know just how much sugar you’re adding into your breakfast (or whenever you decide to make one).
  6. Carrot Ginger Miso Salad Dressing. This is an awesome alternative to making your own carrot ginger dressing. I love it so much that once I stopped at three different locations because they fly off the shelves.
  7. Corn & Chile Salsa – great to add to taco salads!
  8. Makings for a BOMB charcuterie board. Have you ever been mesmerized by the wall of cheese available at Trader Joe’s? Guilty. They have a great range for cheeses + meats to make a fantastic charcuterie whether it’s  a night in for one or a cheeseboard to top all over Instagram cheeseboards.

What did I miss? What are your Trader Joe’s favorites?

Cheers

Three Thrills by Thursday

While I absolutely adore traveling & celebrating so many awesome occasions with friends, not traveling this week has been pretty amazing. Now that my 2017 wedding season is over, I’ve been locking down some fun details for our own wedding! Instead of posting on #WeddingWednesday, I thought today’s post would be a little more wedding-centric.one.

While this is a little overdue & was mentioned last week. I found my wedding gown! While I had planned to shop in NYC, I scheduled an initial run while I was home in Cleveland & Brides By The Falls knocked it out of the park. While I won’t be sharing too many details on the blog until the big day, I’ll just say, it’s not at all what I expected but everything I ever wanted.

two.

I found this article about the Evolution of the Wedding Gown from Instyle. Turns out wedding gowns haven’t always been white!

three.

I’ve been doing a lot of reading about bridal traditions. While many aspects of our wedding will be traditional, we want to make sure every aspect feels very personal to Dave & I, for example, writing our own ceremony. This article about cultural traditions around the world is super interesting and makes me glad I’m not getting married in Jamaica!

bonus.

tomorrow, I’ll be sharing how I asked my bridesmaids to be a part of our wedding party! you don’t want to miss it!

Valentine’s Day Gift Guide: For Her

Happy Friday! We’ve made it to the brink of the weekend and officially are in the single digit countdown to Valentine’s Day. What’s your take on the holiday? Do you guys really do it up? Personally, I don’t like to buy in too much to V Day; a thoughtful card and kind gesture or small gift is what we usually do. For me, it’s more about time spent together. If you’re in need for last minute ideas for your lady friend, here are a few gifts for less than $100.
If you’re looking to do something a little more interactive, plan a trip to an art museum or book a couple’s massage. I always think an experience can be the greatest gift.. but don’t forget the flowers!
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
Cheers!

Insta- lately

How did I miss Monday?! Well, let’s be honest, I didn’t miss Monday… I just missed blogging. Quick post today on some great stops in Pittsburgh this weekend. It was quite pleasant because the sun was out and it was a balmy 58 degrees, perfect exploring weather.

I have been dying to check out No. 14 which is in Lawrenceville. It is the sweetest boutique with beautiful clothes, jewelry and accessories. The great news is, if you’re not close enough to stop by, you’ll soon be able to shop online. And how perfect is the dressing room?

After some shopping, we stopped by Smoke for some INCREDIBLE tacos. I cannot recommend this place enough. I am also obsessed with the blackberry agua fresca. I am going to try to make some of my own so hopefully you’ll see a recipe in the next few weeks.

Is anyone else dying for spring? I mean sure, the calendar says it’s spring but come on. 30 degrees does not feel springlike at all. I popped into Nordstrom Rack this weekend to grab a few treats for myself. Just because the weather doesn’t say spring, doesn’t mean my wardrobe can’t!

Cheers!

Three Thrills by Thursday

Thursday again! And super exciting thrills this week so I’ll get right to it..

1. Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past few days or despise color, you’ve heard that Target’s newest collaboration is with none other than.. Lilly Pulitzer. As a Lilly lover and love of Target, I couldn’t be more excited about this collaboration, especially because Target’s really nailed the last few collaborations they’ve done (coughcoughAltuzarra). The collection will be out April 19 and you can bet I’ll be one of the first ones in the door. More details here, here and here.

2. Jimmy Fallon’s priceless reaction to the realization that he could have dated Nicole Kidman..

3. My final thrill this week is my new Bb thickening Dryspun Finish spray. It’s perfect when my hair gets flat from humidity or just the fact that it’s getting very long. A quick blast and you’re back to va-va-voom. Plus it’s got a great, light scent that won’t leave you smelling like a can of AquaNet.

Highlight: Simply Charming

Happy Friday, Everyone! Today I am highlighting a sweet little boutique I came across recently! Simply Charming is located on Lee Road in Cleveland Heights and is the perfect place to find a gift (either for yourself or for a friend). Nestled between Christian Science Reading Room and Myron’s Beverage, you will definitely not want to bypass this gem. Inside, Simply Charming carries items from Bando, Lilly Pulitzer, Kate Spade and Alex & Ani, just to name a few. The assortment of jewelry ranges from statement pieces and gorgeous charms to delicate necklaces and bracelets. They provide monogramming, children’s gifts and have a plethora of sweet and funny cards for any occasion (seriously, there was even a card for spring cleaning!) If you are in need of a gift, card or just picking up a little something to treat yourself- support local business and stop into Simply Charming. LIKE them on Facebook and follow their Instagram (@SimplyCharmingCLE ) for their newest arrivals!

Have an amazing weekend, everyone!

Cheers!
