Three Thrills by Thursday

This week has really been a doozy. After a weekend away in Kennebunkport, the work week hit me like a ton of bricks. Today I’m sharing three feel good articles I’ve read on the internet this week. If you’re feeling like me, hang in there, it’s almost Friday!

one.

This Forbes article that reinforces women are more successful when they’re supporting women (but like, duh?) Studies show that women always benefit from collaboration over competition, though many women are taught to compete with their female peers.

“We’re better together. As Madeleine Albright said, “There is a special place in hell for women who don’t help other women.” As we say from personal experience, “There is a special place in heaven for women who support other women.””

two.

I’ve mentioned this before, but I truly believe in the power of the thank you note. Whether it be personally or professionally, it takes at maximum 15 minutes to write a well thought out thank you note. Do you consider them necessary for job interviews? Do you write an actual handwritten note or send a poised email? Yale career experts lay out the perfect business thank you note in this article.

three.

Simone Biles. Talk about badass. This week she was the first human to land a triple double but she is now the most decorated female gymnast in world championships history with four golds, a silver and a bronze. Not to mention her most recent meet, the one where she did the triple double, she had just come off being away from the sport for 14 months and currently has a kidney stone. Remind me to never complain ever again.

Cheers,
