Wedding Week: Our Ceremony + Details

Welcome back to wedding week! Today I’m sharing some details & scoop on our ceremony. If you have questions about any wedding related (or actually anything :)) ask away on instagram, as I’ve been answering questions all week with lots of wedding info!

Our ceremony from beginning to end was less than thirty minutes. We actually wrote it! We wanted the ceremony and vows to be personal & specific to us, so we wrote the entire thing ourselves.

We each picked a reading. Mine was a bible verse specific to my sorority, Kappa Alpha Theta, read by my girlfriend, Kate. It was so special to have her read it as she got married the weekend before us, so I was so glad she was able to be involved!

Dave picked Johnny Cash song lyrics, Rose Of My Heart, read by his youngest brother Matt- it didn’t leave a dry eye in the room.

Our officiant, Dave’s cousin Robbie, really knocked it out of the park. He’s in medical school but should definitely moonlight as a for-rent officiant because so many people complimented us asking how we found him! LOL We were so happy to have him marry us!

It was a very lighthearted ceremony… with lots of room for some nervous giggles.

Tomorrow I’ll be sharing some fun photos from our dance floor & reception. It’s been so much fun sharing with you guys all week!

Cheers,
