Wedding Week: The Dress

Welcome back to Wedding Week, day two. I’ve gotten a lot of questions and sweet compliments regarding my dress. I had always been excited to find my gown and had some idea of what I thought I wanted, but in the end, I was surprised with my decision.

My dress, Langham by Anne Barge, was nothing at all what I expected to wear on my wedding day but like they say, when you know, you know.

In my mind, I envisioned myself in long sleeves, an illusion neckline, etc etc but when I tried a lot of those dresses on, they were beautiful, but to me, they didn’t feel bridal. In fact, at my first appointment, I tried on dress after dress that warranted almost no reaction.

I headed to my second appointment not sure what to expect. I suppose after watching Say Yes To The Dress in college, I assumed I’d instantly be teary after seeing myself in a wedding dress.

My second appointment was at Brides By The Falls, which couldn’t have been more perfect. I loved the intimate setting & the personal attention I received there- I can honestly say- I hope every bride gets the experience of finding their wedding gown, like I did at Brides By The Falls. To make it even more magical, we sipped champagne as we browsed dresses.

When we walked into our appointment, my mom’s eyes immediately caught this dress which I thought was beautiful, but wasn’t what I was looking for. I pulled several dresses and once I got to the fitting room, it was the very first dress I tried on. I just knew.

oh, did I mention it had pockets?

Stop back tomorrow for more wedding week! As a reminder, I’ll be keeping an open Q&A on my insta-stories, so anything you have questions on throughout the week, message me, and I’ll share my response back on insta!

Cheers
