Weekend Update

Happy Monday, friends! We spent this weekend in Columbus and I particularly love Short North and Grandview areas which, if possible, are even more charming with the changing of the season. Though the weekend flew by, we kept ourselves busy and had a great time catching up with old friends. We even wandered into a bar with a hidden champagne button which really made my entire Saturday night! We were having so much fun that I wasn’t paying attention to my phone or taking too many photos but here are a few snapshots I did remember to snap!

Started off Saturday brunch with a Bloody Mary and yes, that is a warm, bacon-wrapped tater-tot.

Next, we spent a little time at 16-Bit Barcade which also has a location in Lakewood. It was a lot of fun to get to play old school games and if you’re drinking (alcoholic or not) they’re free! Definitely a place to check out.

We stopped into Dirty Frank’s for a late lunch. This is the Cowgirl Carmen and yes, it was delicious.

After we explored, we wound up at Eleven back in Short North. The fire and atmosphere was perfect for the chill in the air while we sipped our drinks. This is a Moscow Mule with muddled strawberries in it- possibly the best cocktail I have ever had.

As I said before, the bar Odd Fellows, has a secret champagne button. If you find it and press it, the bartenders are alerted and bring you a class of champagne. If this isn’t every girl’s dream… I don’t know what is!

This is the bonus photo this week, on our way past a park, we spotted this little guy. I have never seen a white squirrel before! I consider myself a friend to woodland creatures and if you know me, this especially means squirrels.

Quick post today in honor of the long weekend (for some of us). I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and a productive Monday! And for my fellow Clevelanders, I hope you’re still celebrating the Brown’s win- I am!! Woohoo!

Cheers!!

You found an albino squirrel! There was one at our park when we lived in German Village, and then when we moved to Clintonville we found that another one frequents our neighbor’s tree. I think they’re good luck!
